The US military is developing software that will let it secretly manipulate social media sites by using fake online personas to influence internet.

3. Obama Authorizes International Assassination Campaign
Court documents by Human Rights Watch and a special United Nations report allege that U.S. citizens suspected of encouraging “terror” had been put on “death lists.”

4. Global Food Crisis Expands
 44,000,000 people have joined the 925,000,000 people already suffering from lack of food. If prices continue to rise, the food crisis will push the numbers of hungry to 1,000,000,000. Another 2,000,000,000 will suffer from “hidden malnutrition."

5. Private Prison Companies Fund Anti–Immigrant Legislation
CCA and GEO Group are America's two largest for-profit companies that design, build, finance and operate prisons. They are the main forces in organizing behind-the-scenes anti-immigrant legislative efforts

The FTC investigated Google for illegally collecting personal data from Wi-Fi networks in homes and businesses across the U.S. and world  While this is clearly an invasion of public privacy, the FTC has done nothing about it.

Sweatshops in China Are Making Your iPods While Workers Suffer
Apple’s Chinese suppliers  routinely violate China’s workplace laws. Several manufacturers use n-hexane to clean parts. N-hexane has, and continues to, poison workers. Apple is the only IT company which uses n-hexane and refuses to work with green groups.

US Agencies Trying to Outlaw GMO Food Labeling
Major health concerns about GMOs [genetically modified organisms] include antibiotic resistance, gene transfer,  GM genes introduced into the wild population, susceptibility of non-target organisms (insects), and loss of biodiversity as potential issues of using GM seeds.
