Saskatchewan and Sport
Canada are each contributing
$3,500,000. The City of Regina is contributing $1,100,000 The rest will be raised through fees, sponsorships and fundraising. |
Regina's bid won out over several other communities including London, Ontario. and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The last time the event was hosted in Saskatchewan was 1993, when it was held in Prince Albert.
