barb abramo, 1943-2011

Montana: Barb Abramo was a fierce and passionate advocate for the buffalo and a committed activist throughout her barb abramolife. She played a central role in safeguarding  Yellowstone's buffalo and was Office Coordinator for the Buffalo Field Campaign.

Last month, Barb passed away.

For the past several years, Barb was the voice of Buffalo Field Campaign. She hand-wrote every donation thank-you, packed and sent merchandise orders, and kept the BFC office running smoothly. If you ever contacted the BFC, chances are you communicated directly with Barb.

A Brooklyn-raised Sicilian, Barb gave voice to what she believed in, and she was a tenacious advocate for wild buffalo.

The Buffalo Field Campaign is creating a web page in her honor and would like those who knew Barb to share their thoughts, stories, photographs, or reflections.
